A sweet reminder.....Ministry starts here

What I am being reminded of on this trip is really quite simple: People all over the world have the same need, and that need is Jesus. They need to know that the creator of the universe sees them, loves them, and wants a relationship with them.

I’m reminded of how God met Hagar in the wilderness. What He spoke to her was that He sees her and wants to provide a future for her and her descendants. He met her in her despair to let her know He cares. It's the same message for us today: God sees you! He cares. Christ wants to be with you!

I am also reminded that my usefulness to Christ is the same everywhere I go! As a vessel, I can carry this message to the nations. I can make the introduction. So, does this take being location-specific? I don't believe so. Ministry-specific? I don't think so. I can be used wherever and however the Lord leads.

I’ve had the great privilege of sharing my testimony in many locations, and that has been a great door for Christ to walk through. But where I have seen the greatest opportunity to share Christ is in my coming and my going—the light He has placed in me is meant to shine, and it does. Praise God. When there is a work to be done, I will do it, but the greatest opportunity is now!

Truly! Jesus said, "the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." I think to draw out the workers, we need to reach the people closest to us. This is where we will see the fruit. Let's GO!

The Root of the Ministry

What I find so powerful about this reminder stems from three years ago. While leaving our home to do ministry elsewhere, the Lord quietly whispered in my ear: "You are doing Ministry."

In that moment, I thought: "Wow, Lord, why? Why would you have me leave everything behind to go somewhere else to do ministry if I'm already doing ministry? I thought I had to leave?"

Here I sit today with the realization that I don't have to go anywhere to do the work of the ministry, and that there is work all over the world to be done.

He has shown me that the work of the ministry stems from the work of the ministry being done in me. He has done great works on my heart through the last few years of following Him wherever He leads! Life transformation has taken place many times in my own heart.

I want everyone around the globe to be reminded daily of the Creator who sees them, loves them, and wants a relationship with them. I am so grateful to the Lord for bringing me into all of the spaces He's brought me into—to do ministry and to have ministry done to me through His great discipline and love. I'm thankful for the opportunities that have presented in Mexico, Malaysia, India, and now back in Thailand.

I pray that my offering and my worship would be that of ministry, first done to me and then second done through me.

I pray that you would be encouraged to know that if you are found in Christ today, you are indeed doing the work of the ministry. Maybe today it is being done to you, and maybe tomorrow through you! Be blessed, friends!
