Ministry Update: From Singapore to Northern Thailand

Ministry Update: From Singapore to Northern Thailand

It has been just over two months since our last update, and so much has happened! Our last report came from Phuket, where we reflected on our time in India and Malaysia and remembered what God did in our lives there nearly 20 years ago. (If you missed that post, https://thepocockfamilymission.blogspot.com/2025/10/the-almightys-ongoing-conversation-from.html).

Singapore & The Pan-Asian Conference

We recently attended Heartbeat International’s Pan-Asian Conference in Singapore. The training was top-notch, but the greatest blessing was the fellowship. We connected with humble, gifted leaders from across Asia—some there for the week, others for a lifetime.

We were also super blessed to connect with friends from Mexico there. We met the Sho family in Mexico and they were a special blessing to us in our last days in Singapore.

Making memories with the Sho family in Singapore. It was a joy to reconnect with these dear friends from our time in Mexico and enjoy a much-needed day of rest together!

They were an extra-special provision for us because Britt, Jeremiah, and I all fell very ill. The Shos picked up Mordy and Lizard and entertained them, giving us the room to rest for a day before our "jump-day" of travel. We are so thankful the LORD is blessing us with friends all over the world!

Settled in Northern Thailand

We are now settled in Northern Thailand in an incredible space. We are staying at a housing facility for tribal youth who have limited access to education; here, they are discipled and attend local schools. It is a joy to see our own children making friends in such a vibrant environment.

Morde and Lizard are attending the International Learning Center on-site, building relationships with children from the Philippines, Russia, Germany, Burma, China, and Thailand. Meanwhile, the rest of us are serving at the school: Grandmama in culinary arts, Jeremiah teaching guitar, and I have stepped in as the new gym teacher—or "Mr. P.E." as the kids call me!

Abortion Restoration Training

We recently launched an Abortion Restoration Leader’s Training with seven women from four different nations. We are exploring how evangelism and discipleship lead to restoration for anyone hurt by an imperfect world. Together, we are seeking the Lord to acknowledge wounds, grieve, forgive, and find redemption.

A glimpse into our training: This diagram illustrates the heart-work we are doing together—moving through the stages of acknowledging wounds, grieving, and finding ultimate redemption through Christ.

This "heart work" has been transformative, not just for the participants, but for our marriage and family. It was a true team effort: Grandmama and Pops watched the kids during sessions, and Jeremiah led his younger siblings in prayer for our group during the evening teachings.

Looking Ahead: The Philippines and Beyond

Our next stop will be the Philippines. There, Britt will intern with a midwifery clinic for underserved women. As part of our pregnancy help ministry, we are excited for Britt to be on the "welcoming committee" as babies are brought into the world. This also marks her return to her midwifery studies after a year-long hiatus as we adapted to life abroad.

As we transition to this next phase, we are partnering with organizations to expand our restoration trainings and developing a new manual for native ministers in resource-sparse areas. Our ministry is built on the belief that inviting Christ into our personal places of hurt is transformational. This 'heart-work' is the core of our Abortion Restoration Ministry, but it is also the foundation of our greater mission: to know God and make Him known in every corner of the world.

Praises & Prayer Requests

Praises:

  • Family Unity: God has strengthened our marriage and provided for our children in ways we couldn’t have imagined—including a season in Asia with their grandparents!

  • Clarity of Vision: After three years of focusing on "equipment" and preparation, we are finally seeing open doors to serve. We are so excited to have a clear ministry focus on evangelism and discipleship through pregnancy help and restoration ministries.

  • Routine: Having a "home base" with school and daily rhythms has been incredibly refreshing for our souls.

Prayer Requests:

  • Transitions: We will be in Thailand for a few more weeks, then the Philippines. Pray for wisdom to steward our health and the kids' education amidst the "chaos" of moving and the uncertainty of future scheduling.

  • Divine Direction: Please pray that the Lord would lead us clearly to the specific spaces where He has work for us to do, and that we would find deep satisfaction and joy in the labor He sets before us.

  • Fresh Testimony: Pray that we would always have a fresh word of God’s grace in our own lives to share with others.
