Let the journey begin...

Hola amigos, we are the Pocock family! Our family has been called to take a journey together. The journey involves connecting as a family unit in a deep way by traveling the world connecting with the global body of Christ.

Our Journey starts in Roatan, Honduras. We will spend 1 month on the Island. Honestly, this is a place of rest and transition for our family. Here, we will connect with our family and rest. The last six months have been a lot of work and transformation of our hearts. Recently we sold our home and a family business that we were all very integrated with as a community. It has been hard to leave it all behind to follow where Jesus calls us. But in faith and obedience, we jump! January through mid March we will be in Medellin, Colombia. We have already made many connections with the body of Chirst in Medellin along with many ministries serving communities there as Christ calls them to serve. Mid-March we will come home to Ohio to reconnect with family and friends. Then, at the end of March we leave for a 5 month family discipleship training school. 3 months will be at a ranch in Mexico doing lecture as a family. 2 months will be outreach in the Philippians, India or Mexico. We stand at an open door and through the doorway we hear His voice calling. We peak in and see a light beckoning, but, we can only see as far as our next step. He is a light unto our feet. We are taking it step by step. We have no idea where the Lord will call us after school ends in August. All we can do is follow the call knowing He will lead us where we ought be. Please pray for our family. If you know us individually I ask that you pray specifically for us as individuals also. We love the MCS community and look forward to reconnecting with many of you when we make it home. Adios! The Almighty's Ongoing Conversation (From a Raised Hand to a Ministry Launched)

  Hola amigos! If you're reading this, it's likely because of your love for our family, and for that, we are so thankful! We've talked about starting a newsletter for years, and with so much to share and celebrate, we can’t put it off any longer. As I write this, I’m sitting in Phuket, Thailand . Being here has deep and special meaning for our family and our faith. Yesterday, Britt and I visited Phuket Christian Centre (PCC) . Twenty years ago, this was the place where Britt was introduced to Jesus. I still remember it. During an altar call, the pastor asked anyone who wanted to know more about Jesus to raise a hand while everyone else kept their heads bowed and eyes closed. Typically, Britt would be downtown shopping while I was at church, but not that day. She describes feeling no conscious desire to know God, yet she felt her hand go up involuntarily. Ministry Update: From Singapore to Northern Thailand It has been just over two months since our last update, and so much has happened! Our last report came from Phuket, where we reflected on our time in India and Malaysia and remembered what God did in our lives there nearly 20 years ago. Singapore & The Pan-Asian Conference We recently attended Heartbeat International’s Pan-Asian Conference in Singapore. The training was top-notch, but the greatest blessing was the fellowship. We connected with humble, gifted leaders from across Asia—some there for the week, others for a lifetime. We were also super blessed to connect with friends from Mexico there.
